Creators were powerful to tell different Turo stories. Scaling all of them was the problem
Turo already believed in Creators. YouTube in particular made sense because the platform supports the deeper storytelling Turo needs: room for a Creator to explain the "why" behind a trip and to show Turo's renting experience rather than claims.
One message wasn't enough. Turo's use cases span very different audiences. A family Creator makes Turo relevant for convenience, space, and trip planning; a travel Creator shows flexibility and destination use cases; an auto Creator highlights the uniqueness of the car selection. And tentpole moments like the World Cup or Super Bowl only land when the integration feels connected to what the audience is already watching and planning around. Telling all of those stories meant partnering with many different Creators across many categories at different times - and manually finding, vetting, and matching the right Creator to each story didn't scale.
Every campaign was heavy. Running the program well meant sourcing Creators, negotiating rates, reviewing scripts, making sure the product integration was accurate, tracking deliverables, and evaluating performance. All time-consuming, all competing for the same internal bandwidth. Turo wanted to scale without adding operational complexity or relying heavily on traditional agencies with high fees, while keeping more control over negotiations.
Pricing was a blind spot. Creator rates are hard to benchmark because so many factors (audience size, engagement, content quality, category, demand) influence what the right number should be. Turo had little visibility into whether it was paying the right rate.
The pain points were concrete:
- Reaching different audiences required different Creators, and sourcing and vetting across categories didn't scale manually
- Creator campaigns were operationally expensive to run end-to-end
- Agency-run campaigns added fees and put a layer between Turo and its Creator negotiations
The dilemma: how to partner with more Creators across multiple categories, and run YouTube as a real always-on channel, without the internal team drowning in coordination.
An operating system for Creator marketing, unlocking scale, speed, transparency, and consistency

Instead of managing Creator opportunities as a series of one-off deals, Agentio gave Turo a consistent, structured way to run paid Creator marketing as a real channel. Turo could finally partner with hundreds of vetted, relevant Creators with a single click.
The capabilities that mattered most for Turo:
- AI-powered Creator–Brand matching with Verified Brand Fit. Agentio analyzes Creator content, audiences, and engagement to surface and verify the right Creator for each Turo story - family, travel, auto, or a tentpole moment - delivering vetted, ready-to-book matches across every category.
- Full CPM transparency. Agentio eliminated the back-and-forth of rate negotiation, giving Turo clear visibility into what it was paying and why. By standardizing pricing based on median 30-day views, pricing became easier to benchmark and compare across Creators, allowing Turo to have full visibility and accuracy into expected CPMs.
- Scheduled Bids and streamlined workflows. One-click approvals and scheduled booking take each integration from sourced to briefed in a matter of seconds inside one platform, keeping the work manageable for a lean internal team as Creator volume grows.
- Consolidated, Creator-level performance tracking. One place to access views, CPMs, and outcomes, and to identify which partnerships were worth renewing.
The net effect: Agentio solved for scale, speed, transparency, and consistency at once. Running this level of Creator volume the old way would have required significantly more internal bandwidth across sourcing, coordination, review, reporting, and follow-up. Instead, thanks to Agentio, Turo's team spends more of its time on strategy, creative quality, campaign alignment, and performance evaluation - the work that actually compounds.
Measured beyond last-click - and outperforming across the funnel

Turo partnered with 435 Creators in one year - managed by a single person, without adding headcount or agency fees.
Agentio allowed them to scale quickly and easily while simultaneously proving the power of Creator marketing:
- 3-4x higher ROAS when measured with MMM vs. last-touch
- +42pt lift in airport car-rental preference in the most recent Agentio brand-lift study
- +24pt lift in brand awareness
- Above-benchmark gains across all key brand metrics, including double-digit increases in several areas
Turo evaluates Creators through multiple lenses, because the channel doesn't behave like a pure last-click play. Media Mix Modeling (MMM) captures broader business impact, last-touch captures direct-response signals, and brand-lift studies measure awareness, consideration, and perception. The most important metric is incremental business impact - whether a campaign is driving incremental GBV and efficient acquisition, not just views or clicks. On that basis, MMM tells a more complete story than last-touch, which can underrepresent Creators on YouTube, where someone may watch, consider Turo, and come back to book later through another channel.
The most recent brand-lift study set out to understand how Creators were strengthening Turo's association with airport car rentals - a direct challenge to the traditional rental incumbents. The result was a +42-point lift in airport preference, with above-benchmark gains across every key metric and a +24-point lift in brand awareness. It validated that Creators aren't only a performance channel; they also drive education and perception for a Brand still teaching the market how its marketplace differs from a traditional rental company.
Infrastructure + intelligence
Turo's story is a clean expression of Agentio's thesis. The infrastructure - automatic sourcing, standardized CPMs, scheduled bidding, consolidated tracking - made Creators executable at scale, without adding headcount and without leaning on agency fees. The intelligence - AI-powered matching that puts the right Turo story in front of the right audience - made that scale right, so a family Creator, a travel Creator, and an auto Creator each carry the message that fits their audience and the moment.
What makes Creators uniquely persuasive is that the message arrives through a trusted voice, often in a real use case: someone actually using Turo on a real trip. That's more convincing than standard paid media, and it works across the funnel: building awareness and airport preference at the top while contributing incremental GBV below it. Turn that into a channel Turo can run consistently and the results compound.
Or, in Talia's words: "Agentio helps us scale YouTube Creator marketing in a way that is operationally efficient, strategically targeted, and measurable beyond just last-click performance."
